Partnership

Partner with what God is doing through BSB.

BSB exists because life in Christ was never meant to be walked alone. Through Bible study, prayer, Faith Camp, and everyday community, we get to encounter Jesus together — and some of you feel led to partner with that in a deeper way. Here's what that can look like.

Why we partner

Giving has always been part of Christian community

Giving has always been part of what it means to live in Christian community.

In the early church, believers didn't just meet, worship, and go home. They shared what they had so that people around them could be cared for and the work of the Kingdom could move forward.

"Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need."

Acts 2:44–45 (NKJV)

At its heart, giving is about love, trust, and stewardship.

We see this most clearly in God Himself: "For God so loved the world that He gave…" (John 3:16, NKJV). Giving is therefore more than a financial transaction. It can be an expression of gratitude, faith, obedience, generosity, and love.

Jesus also reminds us that "it is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35, NKJV).

But with that privilege comes responsibility.

We believe whatever God puts in our hands should be handled with wisdom, integrity, and accountability — both before Him and within the community He has placed us in.

And honestly, we know the conversation around giving has not always been handled well.

Throughout church history, and even today, giving has sometimes been surrounded by pressure, manipulation, excess, or unhealthy expectations. That has caused real hurt and, sadly, has sometimes distorted the name and purpose of Christianity.

We don't want to ignore that reality.

At BSB, we want to be a community that learns what Scripture actually teaches about giving — why we give, what we give, how we give, and where different forms of giving fit within our walk with God.

We believe in offerings, almsgiving, seed sowing, and tithing as Christian practices rooted in Scripture. But we also believe these things are not interchangeable. Each has its own place, purpose, and biblical principles.

A note about tithing

BSB does not receive or accept tithes

This is important:

BSB does not receive or accept tithes.

We believe in tithing, but we believe your tithe belongs to your local church — the place where Abba has planted you, where you are spiritually fed, shepherded, discipled, and cared for through the pastoral and leadership structure He has placed over you.

Tithing is a broad subject with a lot of biblical context behind it, so we don't want to squeeze our position into a few sentences and call it a day.

We'll be putting together a separate resource that goes deeper into what Scripture says about tithing, including the principles behind it, how much to give, and how we understand its practice as Christians today.

Partnering with BSB

Freewill, and nothing else

While we don't receive tithes, BSB does welcome freewill offerings from people who genuinely desire to partner with what God is doing through this community.

And here's the thing: we don't want you giving because you feel pressured, guilty, or manipulated.

Give because you've prayed about it. Give because you've been convicted. Give because you've found a biblical reason to do so and genuinely want to partner with what God is doing.

Your giving should come from a willing heart and a place of faith — not because someone made you feel like God won't bless you unless you give.

And if you genuinely can't give right now, please don't feel bad about it.

Seriously.

Your value to BSB isn't measured by what you contribute financially. We love you, value you, and are grateful to have you in this community whether you give financially or not.

We trust the God who "supplies seed to the sower and bread for food" (2 Corinthians 9:10, NKJV) to provide what we need. And when He gives us the capacity to do more, we want to be ready to partner with His Kingdom purposes in even greater ways.

If you feel genuinely led to partner financially with BSB — whether towards Faith Camp, our Bible studies, events, or other community activities — simply fill out the form below with your email address, and we'll reach out with the next steps.

No pressure. No awkward fundraising. Just an opportunity to partner with what God is doing.

Thank you for believing in what God is doing through Bible Study Buddies. ❤️
