Our story

It started with a phone call

Bible Study Buddies began during COVID lockdown. Two friends started studying the Bible together over a phone call. The following day another friend joined. Within the week, more people had joined and the group moved to Skype.

The group originally operated under the name Closed on Sunday — a nod to the season when church doors were shut and believers were finding new ways to gather.

What began as a way to remain connected during church closures became a lasting Christian community. Over time, God grew the ministry into Bible Study Buddies.

Today that same friendship is what you see in our photos — two people over a chessboard by the sea, a room full of hands raised, a group that keeps showing up for one another. Since then the ministry has hosted successful events, including its flagship annual gathering, Faith Camp.

Why BSB exists

The faith journey is not meant to be walked alone

We exist so that believers have somewhere to learn Scripture, ask honest questions, be encouraged, be prayed for, and belong.

The Faith Camp hall full of people worshipping with hands raised

Worship together — the hall full, hands raised, one voice.
